Tara Wells is an author from Sydney. She has worked as a TV and radio presenter and producer, and has a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) and a Master of Arts (Journalism).
Tara left the world of news to pursue a love of travel, owning and operating an award-winning tourism business guiding walks in Sydney’s national parks.
A love of storytelling brought her back to writing, first by helping others discover Sydney’s best natural beauty on foot through her blog, Sydney Coast Walks.
Tara also writes feature articles as a freelance travel journalist and is a member of the Australian Society of Authors.
The Bondi to Manly Walk (NewSouth Publishing, 2021) is her first book. She is currently working on another travel guidebook for release in 2023. In the writing queue is a junior fiction novel set in the Aussie bush.
